About Us

Beans and Folks was born out of curiosity and appreciation for the people around us.

While living in Melbourne, we met so many inspiring people from different backgrounds, all connected by a shared love for coffee.

​

Everyone had their own journey, their own experiences, and their own relationship with coffee. We realised that these stories deserved to be shared.

​

We started Beans and Folks with the idea of highlighting the people behind the craft. From baristas creating experiences every day to farmers and producers working to grow exceptional coffee, we wanted to document the people who make coffee what it is.

What started with interviews, events, and short videos kept growing. The more people we met, the more we wanted to learn and share.

​

Eventually, our curiosity took us beyond cafés and into the places where coffee begins. We wanted to explore coffee origins, meet the farmers and producers, and share their work with a wider audience.

This became the beginning of our origin trips, where we travel to discover the people, places, and stories that shape the coffee we enjoy every day.
